1. Template:Lb A dimensionless number used in the study of hydrodynamic instabilities in density stratified flows: $\mathrm{A}=\frac{{\rho }_1-{\rho }_2}{{\rho }_1+{\rho }_2}$, where ${\rho }_1$ is the density of the heavier fluid and ${\rho }_2$ is the density of the lighter fluid.
