Etymology

Template:Root The Template:Glossary is a Template:Lbor,[1][2] ultimately from Template:Der + Template:M + Template:M.
The Template:Glossary is derived from the adjective.[1][3] The Template:Glossary forms Template:M and Template:M are learned borrowings from Template:Lbor (Template:Glossary or Template:Glossary) and Template:M (Template:Glossary), respectively plural forms of Template:M.
Noun Template:Senseno (“generalization of a triangle or tetrahedron to an arbitrary dimension”) was apparently Template:Glossary by the Dutch mathematician Template:W (1846–1913) as a short version of Simplicissimum in Mehrdimensionale Geometrie (in German, 1902).[4] (In his pioneering works on algebraic topology, the French mathematician Template:W (1854–1912) had previously introduced the concept, but not the actual term simplex.)[5]
